New Era of Online Recruitment

I had memorable experienced in looking for a job using the electronic versions or traditional job-hunting sources – newspapers and recruitment agencies. When I finished my diploma in 1999, I decided to look for a job before I pursue my degree. At that time, I am using recruitment agency and newspaper to look for a job. I registered few recruitment agencies such as Agensi Pekerjaan Intelek, Kelly Services and etc. I bought newspaper especially The Star on Saturday. Finding the right job is becoming tougher for me. It all started when I was sent a resume to Henkel (M) Sdn Bhd, Shah Alam. They informing me that I can start worked on March2000. I thought that this could be what I need at the moments and work experience with Henkel seemed like a great opportunity to me.

Overal I really did enjoy my working time with Henkel. It was a great experience and it did change my view. What actually supprised me the most about working with Henkel, after 14years, I am being offered with Mutual Separation Scheme and my last working day is on 31March2014. So this time I have to look for a job again and for me internet and web-based technologies have transformed the process of recruitment and job-hunting in recent years. I posted my resume via Jobstreet, JobHunt, Monster and etc. And I felt very lucky when I am being offered to work at Dexion Asia, is a MNC in storage racking system in Shah Alam on 22April2014. Using this type of online recruitment is a good thing and will probably help to find job fast. If you are looking for a job, the internet can be an invaluable additional tool and now there are thousands of site dedicated to helping people from all professional to find work. It give me an access to jobs advertised in website. Using the internet to find work also shows motivation, initiative and confidence with technology

As revealed in the 2014 Kelly Global Workforce Index, at least three in every five job seekers in Malaysia used social media in their job hunt in the past year, much higher than the global average of 36%. This led to Malaysia ranking fourth worldwide in the use of social media for career decisions, in a list led by India, Thailand and Indonesia. In fact, Malaysian employees are eager to take up new trends. Thus, social media is increasingly becoming the best way for recruiters to fill open positions.
